dc.descriptionThe characterization studies in seeds are of interest and importance for any genetic improvement program of the low deciduous forest. To carry out this research, 34 localities from three states of the Mexican Republic were considered: Guerrero, Morelos and the State of Mexico, they were separated into groups which were: G. Dulce, Dulce, G. Amargo, Amargo, G. Simple, Simple and several in the latter find two localities that presented 5 different genotypes, 10 seeds were randomly selected per genotype. The objective was to characterize the seeds of guamúchil in different regions, to obtain information regarding this tree, as well as to generate trees with desirable characteristics; Measurements were carried out with a mitutoyo vernier for the length, width and thickness of the seed, the weight was determined with a precision balance. Analysis of variance, comparison of means, were performed to detect differences between genotypes. No significant differences were found in the variables. However, the genotypes that presented the highest value in the mean for the length was G. Dulce from Chilapa de Álvarez, Gro., While the width was from the Bitter genotype that was collected from Alpuyeca, Mor., In the thickness of found in the G. Dulce genotype from Tlapa, Gro., and the highest weight was of the Amargo genotype from the town of Zumpango del Río, Gro.en-US
dc.descriptionLos estudios de caracterización en semillas, son de interés e importancia para cualquier programa de mejoramiento genético de la selva baja caducifolia. Para efectuar esta investigación se consideraron 32 localidades de tres estados de la República Mexicana: Guerrero, Morelos y el Estado de México, se separaron en grupos los cuales fueron: G. Dulce, Dulce, G. Amargo, Amargo, G. Simple, Simple y varios en este último encuentran dos localidades que presentaron 5 genotipos diferentes, se seleccionaron 10 semillas por genotipo de manera aleatoria. El objetivo fue caracterizar las semillas de guamúchil en diferentes regiones, para obtener información referente a esta especie, así como generar árboles con características deseables. Las mediciones se llevaron a cabo con un vernier marca Mitutoyo® para el largo, ancho y el grosor de la semilla, el peso fue determinado con una balanza de precisión marca TBT. Se realizaron análisis de varianza, comparación de medias para detectar diferencias entre genotipos. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en las variables. Sin embargo, los genotipos que presentaron mayor valor en la media para el largo fue G. Dulce procedente de Chilapa de Álvarez, Gro., mientras que el ancho fue del genotipo Amargo que se recolecto de Alpuyeca, Mor., en el grosor de encontró en el genotipo G. Dulce procedente de Tlapa, Gro., y el mayor peso fue del genotipo Amargo de la localidad de Zumpango del Río, Gro.es-ES
