Descripción:	Through the legal dogmatic approach, this article seeks to demonstrate that the withdrawal of the United States of America from the Paris Agreement contravenes the obligations contained in the Treaty between the United States, Mexico and Canada (USMCA). It considers the scope of the provisions set out in section 24.8 of the USMCA for States Parties to reach a common level of commitment to the environment, mainly in multilateral environmental treaties such as the Paris Agreement. First, the background to the adoption process of the Paris Agreement and the USMCA is established. Then the importance of environmental treaties as complementary elements of the trade instrument is explored. Later, the obligations adopted by the three countries in the field of the environment are analyzed. Finally, the cooperation between the States Parties to the USMCA to strengthen environmental protection and governance is studied. Mediante el enfoque de la dogmática jurídica, este artículo pretende demostrar que el retiro de los Estados Unidos de América del Acuerdo de París contraviene las obligaciones que contiene el Tratado entre México, los Estados Unidos y Canadá (T-MEC). Se estudia el alcance de las disposiciones fijadas en el artículo 24.8 del T-MEC para los Estados Parte de alcanzar un nivel común de compromiso con el medio ambiente, principalmente, en los Tratados Multilaterales en esa materia como lo es el Acuerdo de París. Primero, se establecen los antecedentes del proceso de adopción del Acuerdo de París y del T-MEC. Después se estudia la importancia de los tratados medioambientales como elementos complementarios del instrumento comercial norteamericano. Posteriormente, se analizan las obligaciones adoptadas por los tres países en materia de medio ambiente. Finalmente, se estudia la cooperación entre los Estados Parte del T-MEC para fortalecer la protección y gobernanza medio ambiental.
