dc.description	Reception: November 2, 2016     Accepted: January 26, 2017     Vision of Anáhuac is both the author’s reaction to a certain historical circumstance and a reflection on the question of what America is from a literary perspective which includes the following discursive strategies: epigraphs, intertextuality and rhetoric. A complex argumentative process backs up the thesis that Americans of all times are united by the desire to tame nature, and the everyday excitement they experience in the face of it. That is to say, the realms of action and contemplation bind together American history. The current importance of Reyes’ essay lies in that it seeks to persuade to a particular point of view: there is a need to highlight everything that aims to value and defend —or on the other hand, destroy— cultural diversity and natural richness.	en-US
dc.description	Recepción: 2 de noviembre de 2016     Aceptación: 26 de enero de 2017     Visión de Anáhuac es una reacción del autor a una coyuntura histórica, y una reflexión sobre la pregunta “¿qué es América?” desde una propuesta literaria instalada en las siguientes estrategias discursivas: los epígrafes, la intertextualidad y la retórica. Un complejo proceso argumentativo defiende la tesis de que lo que une a los americanos de todas las épocas es el afán por domesticar la naturaleza y la emoción cotidiana que experimentan ante la misma; es decir, los mundos de la acción y de la contemplación vinculan la historia americana. La actualidad del ensayo de Reyes radica en que busca la adherencia a un punto de vista: la necesidad de visibilizar todo aquello que pretenda valorar y defender la diversidad cultural y la riqueza natural o, por el contrario, destruirlas.	es-ES
