dc.descriptionThe article assesses the limitations of the Agenda-Setting Theory regarding the inclusion of social changes into this kind of study, and suggests how to improve it considering three proposals aimed at modifying the ontological, epistemic, and axiological aspects of the Agenda Setting Theory, and purging it from the usual instrumentalism and fragmentation in most of this type of research. Having the Cuban case as example, this paper brings some ideas that might contribute to an increase of the complexity of the agendas relationships analysis that take care of social change process.en-US
dc.descriptionEl artículo analiza algunas limitaciones de la teoría de la agenda setting en la integración de los cambios sociales a su estudio y sugiere vías para su superación a partir de tres propuestas teóricas con el objetivo de incidir sobre sus aspectos ontológicos, epistemológicos y axiológicos, así como revertir el instrumentalismo y fragmentación que caracterizan a la mayoría de estas investigaciones. Utilizando como ejemplo el caso cubano, se aportan un grupo de ideas que pudieran contribuir a un análisis más complejo de las relaciones entre agendas teniendo en cuenta los procesos de transformaciones sociales.es-ES
