La materia oscura no es visible dentro del espectro electromagnetico (a esto se le atribuye su nombre). Existen distintas particulas hipoteticas (todas particulas bosonicas) las cuales son buenas candidatas para conformarla, tales como los axiones, neutrinos esteriles o WIMPs, aunque trabajos recientes argumentan que estas ultimas son los candidatos menos favorecidos | |
