In order to end suitably this thesis work, first I would like to thank God for the opportunity to pass through this life experience, for guiding me on the best path to finish it successfully, surrounded by the support of incredible people who participated, from near or far, in my adventure. 1 greatly thank my advisors Dr. Víctor Alcaráz and Dr. Eric Latrille for all the support, advice in all situations, in and out of the lab. The trust that they placed on me when they offered this great opportunity to work in this project, including their enthusiasm, which inspired me and allowed me to complete this project. 1 would like to especially thank Dr. Antonella Marone and Dr. Alessandro Carmena for their patience to teach me about electrolysis cells operation and all l know about bioelectrochemistry.
