Abstract: The spectrum of photons generated in a one-dimensional resonator whose wall is oscillating with twice the frequency of the fundamental mode in both long- and short-time limits is found. It is shown that for short times photons are generated mainly in the fundamental cavity mode. In the long-time limit photons are generated in a wide frequency band whose width grows exponentially fast in time.
