Abstract: Three siblings with postaxial polydactyly type A, congenital heart defect (single atrium), mental retardation, microcephaly, a distinctive facial appearance, skeletal anomalies and neonatal macrosomy were studied. Comparison with other cardiomelic syndromes previously described in the literature lead us to conclude that this is a new faciocardiomelic syndrome probably inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. We designed a Fresnel zonal plate to form interference patterns by means of the overlapping of a couple films. After plates designed, some of them is fixed and the other one is subject to a body willing to being compressed. The compression of the body will make the necessary movement to appreciate the phenomenon of moire interference, ie, with the displacement in one of the zonal plate, we will obtain the moire interferometric patron.
