Abstract: Demonstrated in the paper is the influence of the pH on the incorporation of the functional monomer (methacrylic or itaconic acid) on structured copolymers of styrene-butyl acrylate and its effect on the mechanical properties of such polymers. The materials studied were synthesized by a two-stage emulsion polymerization process.
